Who Can Attend
Any incoming freshman who wants to jump-start his or her college experience and believes that he or she could benefit from extra support while transitioning from high school to the more diverse and more rigorous academic setting is encouraged to attend Summer Launch.
Students who are concerned about the following will benefit from the Summer Launch program:- Making new friends
- Adjusting to college life
- Living away from home
- Learning study skills
- Understanding the difference between high school and college class expectations
- Learning the UNCG campus
- Using time wisely
- Making good grades at the college level
- Growing as a person
Additionally, Summer Launch participants must have:
- Been admitted to UNCG.
- Confirmed with the admissions office that they will be attending UNCG.
- Paid their enrollment deposits.
